A Long, Skinny House
This kitchen has appeared in a number of publications. It was completed in 2007 in a new home in Old West Austin built for a family of five. It is composed of very specific work zones, each customized for rugged use for the long term. The upper cabinet doors' unusual design is inspired by the unusual, old-fashioned exterior wood window screens found in central Austin.
