below are two recently completed baths in a washington, d.c. home.
"the wet room"
this small room has no separate shower stall -- the entire room can get wet. the floor slopes gently toward a single drain in the shower area. a small, hinged glass panel helps keep water off the door threshold. the woodwork is teak, which handles water well, and the fixtures are wetproof. the tile is by ann sacks.
"allegory of spring"
this is a detail from a tiny powder room executed with watchmaker's precision. note the hand-painted flowers, the mirror-on-mirror treatment, the hand-cut open-work on the cabinetry, and the beautiful stone tile (by ann sacks).
